guidelines for contributors

Introduction

The Nahmias Cipher Report reports breaking news and feature stories from Africa, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. TNCR publishes articles on a diverse range of topics including international politics, religion, health, science, art, and human rights. As a forum for social commentary on the human condition, TNCR invites journalists with diverse voices and perspectives to contribute on a formal or informal basis. The TNCR's standard is to report on and raise awareness of the living conditions and situations of people living in remote areas of the world which may be foreign to readers' daily lives and experiences.

We strive to present stories which inspire readers to draw new conclusions, while challenging them to explore means by which they can be involved in the 'change they would like to see in the world.' ~ Mahatma Gandhi

In addition to the areas of interest above, articles submitted by contributing journalists which present alternative insight into the roles of women living in countries with emerging economies, as well those in more economically developed nations are encouraged.

Emphasis on gender relations, reproductive rights, women’s autonomy, and their right to self-determination are central to our child advocacy efforts. We believe the improvement of the lives of mothers is a necessary foundation for the success of future generations. The Editor-in-Chief writes from the perspective of an insider who has lived overseas in countries which grapple with complex social and religious issues which often prevent females from achieving equality. We strive to maintain a platform for students pursuing degrees in international affairs and politics, global economic governance, social justice and human rights, to gain exposure writing for an international publication while developing their writing portfolio. We welcome students working on degrees in other disciplines provided they have strong writing skills.

We challenge our readers’ misconceptions of the world one story at a time
