Eating Red Earth

Red Mountain by Adam Balch

Red earth broken and fresh, different strata peaking forth. Dry on top more dusty brown than red, crowned by tufts of tenacious life. Low and sparse, prickly yet fascinating, it draws the eyes repeatedly to a sky that mirrors back an atmosphere of evening dusk.
