I came tracking down on your title from Author’s Blogs. I am an Indian freelance writer and reading your above post feel what a big fuzz you westerners make about hair. Females are always beauty conscious irrespective of race and creed. One thing I can surely tell is use of wigs to appear beautiful is fortunately not in our South Indian culture (reserved only for film artists). Truth is my heart goes for your feeling as a Black American and the treatment meted out to those in a society which boasts of sophistication – the mighty Americans. Be yourself – this is what you say and this is the essence of all the knowledge in the world. Congrats! p.s. India exports hair in huge quantities and so thank you beauty queens of America!
